SDK 54 deep dive, new APIs, and… a squircle? 😅

Hey Reader,

This week I had the pleasure of talking with Beto from Expo in a brand-new podcast episode!

🎙️ “Expo SDK 54, Expo Router v6 & Expo UI Beta for iOS”

We unpack what’s new in SDK 54, what’s exciting about Expo Router v6, and how Expo UI is starting to tap into iOS 26 design like Liquid Glass.

Some fun links from around the ecosystem this week:

  • 🔐 Expo App Integrity (alpha) — verify your app and secure your API calls without extra backend complexity
  • 💾 New LocalStorage API — hinted by Evan Bacon, this one works across native and web with shared logic
  • 🟦 React Native Squircle — yes, it’s a word, and yes, it’s beautiful. A new UI package I didn’t know I needed
  • 🌫️ SwiftUI Blur filter — iOS finally gets full blur support in React Native via a new PR. Super native feel unlocked.

Links below — and as always, keep building & keep shipping.
