I built the Amazon app with React Native + AI. Here’s how.

Hey Reader,

This week, I’m beyond excited to finally share something big:

I’ve built an Amazon app clone with React Native & AI voice agents using Vapi - and it might be the most ambitious project I’ve shipped yet.

From 3D models and passkey auth to AI-powered support agents and auto bug fixes, this one pulls out all the stops. It’s a full-stack playground using Expo, Vapi, Stripe, Sentry, NativeWind, and more - and I break it all down in the new video.

Meanwhile, the React Native community continues to deliver:

Vadim’s strategy to launch 10 apps this year might give you the push you need. Nitro Image promises blazing-fast images. And Skia just added Skottie support - yes, fancy animations made easy.

Plus, I wrapped up all the latest ecosystem hype - from background images to SwiftUI filters - in the latest podcast.

Links below. Let’s go! 💪

Until then - keep building, keep shipping.

Hey Reader, This week, I didn’t publish a new video - but that doesn’t mean things were quiet. Between working on the Amazon clone (coming next week 👀), creating new Essentials videos, and juggling some real-life stuff (like diet without real sports?), I’ve been soaking in what the React Native community has been up to… and wow. One moment you think nothing happens, then William Candillon describes what's going on with WebGPU and the new Skia Graphite, and a PR for background-repeat (and...

Hey Reader, Are React Server Components still a mystery to you? That ends today - I’ll show you how to build and deploy your first RSC in a React Native app. Why does this matter? RSCs let you handle sensitive operations securely, simplify data fetching, and make your app feel faster - all while writing less code. And yes, they work with React Native now! 🎧 In this week’s podcast, I also broke down what’s new in React Native 0.80 - from frozen legacy architecture to a more stable future. And...
