πŸš€ Galactic News: Expo SDK 53, React Native AI & Apple Commissions Lawsuit

Hey Reader,

Expo SDK 53 was released after a short beta, and although I wanted to cover it quickly my overview about the changes covers all the important new and exciting stuff in a bit longer formatπŸ”₯

From a totally new Expo UI package to Router updates, core changes and CLI improvements, this release gives React Native developers once again access to the latest & greatest tooling to build even better apps.

And although I thought about quitting React Native last week I'm still here, because this ecosystem keeps getting better every day πŸš€

Beyond all of that we have new ways to monetize our apps after Apple lost a major lawsuit, denying their 30% cut on digital goods. More examples on how to do that soon!

Let's see what's possible with all this new power.

Happy Coding,
Simon ✌️

πŸ’« Nebula Notes

  1. Apple must allow External Payment Links (Article)
What does the ruling against Apple mean for developers? How can you cash in and monetize your apps?
  2. React Native AI (Package)
What if you could run LLMs easily on your device? That's now possible with this new package by Callstack!
  3. React Native WebGPU Worklets (Tweet)
Quite some buzzwords in one headline, but this package is another step forward for exceptional native performance.
  4. Making money from your app just got a lot easier (Video)
Monetizing your app is quite easy with the right tools - especially the new Paywall editor makes it incredible easy!
